AIC’s “Would?” was written by Jerry Cantrell and was the first single released from the Singles soundtrack.
Cantrell said this about the song:
I was thinking a lot about Andrew Wood at the time. We always had a great time when we did hang out, much like Chris Cornell and I do. There was never really a serious moment or conversation, it was all fun. Andy was a hilarious guy, full of life and it was really sad to lose him. But I always hate people who judge the decisions others make. So it was also directed towards people who pass judgements.

Some news for the Temple Of The Dog fans:
After the master tapes of the band’s self titled album have been returned by Rajan Parashar (the brother of late Rick, the producer) to A&M Records, it is believed that the record label is planning the deluxe reissue to commemorate the 25th anniversary of release. You can read more about it here.
Moreover, in the interview with Rolling Stone Mike McCready said he would like to reunite the band for concerts
“We did a couple of Temple Of The Dog songs last January. I did Mad Season with a symphony and Chris was nice enough to come out and sing for that. My feeling was, ‘Wow, it would be cool to do this again.’
“I don’t know what the answer is with the re-release of the record, but I would love to do something for the anniversary. That’s kind of Cornell’s thing.
“I would love to play live anytime with those guys. I’d play live with them in a heartbeat.”
